A breast cancer diagnosis is devastating. Treatment can be brutal. Recovery is long. But what comes in “the after”? My vision was of going back to life as I knew it. My reality was much different. Then came Evolve Pink. As one who strives to make everyone feel happy and safe, I felt like I didn’t want to share or burden my loved ones with my fears. I didn’t want to bring anyone down. With the support of Dr. Jen and the brave women at Evolve, I was able to explore those fears in a safe and understanding environment. Yoga, in a space where my body is not “different”, creating art with fellow thrivers, and just being in the company and feeling supported by those who know this disease personally, with no judgement, has been a lifeline. Even in these times of Covid, Evolve has continued offering programs online. I am grateful every day to Dr. Jen and Evolve for her dedication to her patients body and spirit.
